We have an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified Mid-Level Traffic Engineer to join our team!

This opportunity will suit a motivated career traffic engineer keen to contribute positively to a wide range of development and transport projects. It will also assist to further develop your skills and increase your standing in the traffic engineering field.

The role will encompass:

  • Assessment of traffic impacts on project wide and precinct wide levels;

  • Detailed input into road network, carpark and service area planning concepts and design drawings;

  • Parking demand assessments;

  • Traffic signals design and analysis including signal coordination plans;

  • Bicycle and pedestrian network planning;

  • Public transport network planning;

  • Road safety audits;

  • Traffic analysis using SIDRA and other software packages;

  • Transportation network and corridor assessments; and

  • Preparation of proposals and budgets for projects.

We are after someone with a minimum of 3-4 years demonstrated experience as a degree-qualified engineer, ideally in a consulting environment.

You will be responsible for performing traffic investigations, providing high quality traffic input into development, road and pathway concepts and detailed designs, providing recommendations to traffic/parking issues and development of traffic management solutions.

We want someone with experience in technical report writing and with strong verbal communication skills. You will need to be capable of responding positively to enquiries from approval authorities, clients, the public and other consultants.

As the ideal candidate you will:

  • Be degree qualified in Civil/Traffic Engineering;

  • Have at least 3-4 years' experience as a traffic engineer;

  • Be a self-motivated team player who respects others;

  • Present complex information to technical and non-technical clients;

  • Interpret and present analysis results and findings in a clear and concise manner;

  • Consistently write effective high-quality reports;

  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;

  • Hold a current open driver's license with a clean driving record.

You must also be amenable to dogs being present in the workplace.

Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon your skills and experience.
