Ecologically Sensitive Design

Cambray has a long history of involvement in strategic and corridor planning studies. Our strong interest in and understanding of wildlife movement and natural ecological processes enable us to:

  • Improve the location of transport corridors to minimise unnecessary severance and edge effects

  • Contribute to design outcomes aimed at mitigating unnecessary severance and edge effects

  • Ensure that ecological impacts are considered equally alongside economic and social impacts and benefits

  • Recommend, in conjunction with specialist biologists, a package of specific treatments and devices to reduce the impacts of each design within its particular environment

Our specific design advice relating to matters such as fencing selection, water crossing treatments and vegetation management is given in the broader safety and operational context. We believe this is what sets us apart.
